Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. seeks a candidate with two to four years of experience to join our New York City office.
The ideal candidate should have substantive experience with matters arising under major New York State environmental regulatory and energy facility siting programs, including programs addressing stationary source air emissions, facility wastewater and stormwater discharges, site remediation programs (including the brownfield program), transmission line siting, and electric generation and storage facility siting. A candidate with a strong interest in the position who may not currently have significant background in all foregoing areas should be committed to becoming well-versed in these areas. In addition to the foregoing, candidates will be expected to support the firm’s national litigation and environmental regulatory practices. Candidates should describe their experience in these areas.
All candidates should have a strong academic background, excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the desire to become a leader in cases involving challenging legal and environmental issues.
Candidates must have the following qualifications:
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
Status as an active member in good standing of the New York bar and the ability to become admitted to the New Jersey bar.
Strong analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to work well under deadlines, and the ability to assume significant client responsibilities.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

In accordance with the laws of the jurisdictions in which this position may be filled, the base salary range for this position is $190,000 - $220,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. The compensation for this position may also include a discretionary annual bonus and an hours-based bonus.
